The Story
In the spring of 1984, military veterans Bob and Nancy McCarrick opened a little diner on Main Street. No gimmicks, no shortcuts—just fresh ingredients, family recipes, and a commitment to doing it right.
Forty-two years later, Nancy's is still there. Still family-owned (daughter Denise, a U.S. Navy veteran, runs it now). Bob and Nancy still help cook the soups and desserts. The building got a retro makeover in 2005—think 1949 Silk City diner with chrome and stainless steel—but the heart of the place hasn't changed.
It's the kind of place where the pancakes are the size of your head, the pies are made fresh daily, and the staff might give you a little sass (in the best way). Where everything is made to order, so yeah, it takes a minute—but it's worth the wait.
In 2024, they celebrated their 40th anniversary by bringing back 1984 prices for a day. That's Nancy's: a place that remembers where it came from and treats every customer like they matter.
